Co-Artistic Directors, Carisa Armstrong and Christine Bergeron, created the company in 2003 to bring modern dance to the Bryan/College Station area and to have a vessel to explore the intersection between dance and the human experience.

Brazos contemporary dance festival
2024 CALL TO ARTIST AND FESTIVAL INFORMATION Applications due JULY 22nd
Brazos Dance Collective started the Brazos Contemporary Dance Festival in 2007 in order to bring artists and companies to the Brazos Valley. This 3 day festival includes performances by companies around the nation who have applied and were selected through a peer-reviewed process. In addition to performances, artists also offer master classes to local dancers and is an opportunity for choreographers and artistic directors to come together to discuss the challenges around managing a dance company. This year's festival will be hosted in conjunction with the School of Performance, Visualization & Fine Arts at Texas A&M University.
